Chelsea mocked as £88m forward exhorted to ‘upgrade’ with Newcastle move; star ‘has no future’ at current club.

A pundit believes an £88 million European icon should ‘upgrade’ by joining Newcastle United instead of Chelsea this summer, citing the Blues’ recent demise.

Since a consortium headed by Todd Boehly took control of Chelsea, the club has spent £600 million in the last two transfer windows. They have recruited notable players such as Enzo Fernandez, Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Mykhailo Mudryk, and replaced Thomas Tuchel with Graham Potter as manager.

However, Potter was unable to replicate the excitement and success of his tenure at Brighton and was fired in April. Chelsea was linked to managers such as Julian Nagelsmann and Luis Enrique, but decided to buy more time by hiring club legend Frank Lampard as an interim manager.

However, Lampard was unable to turn things around, and Chelsea ultimately declined under his leadership. Fortunately for Blues fans, the club has hired former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino as their new head coach.

Next season, Pochettino will be able to concentrate solely on the Premier League and domestic cup competitions, as Chelsea finished 12th in the Premier League this year and will not be participating in any European competition.

Positively, Chelsea can now focus solely on finishing in the top four next season, as well as the possibility of winning the FA Cup or Carabao Cup. They will also play fewer contests than some of their competitors.

But not everything is positive. Without the ability to offer Champions League football, Chelsea will struggle to add some of Pochettino’s desired players.

Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix, who spent the second half of the season on loan at Stamford Bridge, may be of interest to Pochettino. Felix did not dominate the Premier League, scoring only four goals in 16 appearances, but he was one of Chelsea’s few creative sources even when they were performing inadequately.

Newcastle could abduct a’really dangerous’ Chelsea player.

Former Tottenham and Aston Villa right back Alan Hutton proposed in an interview with Football Insider that the Portuguese rejects a return to Chelsea and instead joins Newcastle. This is due to the fact that the Magpies have qualified for next season’s UCL, and Hutton has deemed them a “upgrade.”

“I thought he was one of the sparks for Chelsea,” Hutton said.

Even in his first few contests, he appeared very dangerous.

“It has been challenging, considering the pressure encircling Chelsea, the managerial situation, and the amount of money spent.

“He is clearly enjoying himself in the Premier League. Newcastle is an up-and-coming team that will compete in the Champions League next season, so he may view that as an enhancement at this time.

Clearly Chelsea will return next season, but it does not appear that his future lies with Atletico.

Supporters of Chelsea will be extremely frustrated by Newcastle’s success while their team languishes in the middle of the table. In 2021, Chelsea finished fourth in the league and won their second UCL championship, while Newcastle finished 12th.

Since then, however, the two clubs have taken drastically different paths, with Newcastle demonstrating Chelsea how to spend large sums of money.

Next season, it will be intriguing to see if Pochettino can get Chelsea back to where they belong by getting the team to gel.

Meanwhile, a star player has decided to depart Stamford Bridge for an incredible contract offer, signaling the end of an era at Chelsea.
