Kylian Mbappe has ‘every right’ to allow his PSG contract to expire this season, according to the head of the players’ union Fifpro, who criticizes the French club for ‘pressuring’ him to quit.

The president of the international players’ union Fifpro has criticized Paris Saint-Germain for their treatment of Kylian Mbappe as they attempt to force the Frenchman out the exit door.
PSG has informed Mbappe, one of the best players in the world, that he must leave the club this summer in order to prevent losing their most valuable player for free at the conclusion of his contract.
The France World Cup champion inked a new three-year contract with the Ligue 1 champions in May of last year, despite Real Madrid’s interest in acquiring his services.
Later, it was disclosed that Mbappe’s mega-contract could end a year early if he chose not to exercise the option for an additional year.
In June, Mbappe informed PSG that he will not exercise this option.
The Parisians have since attempted to negotiate an early departure for their star player in an effort to recoup a portion of his enormous transfer value, with Saudi club Al-Hilal submitting a staggering £259 million proposal to sign him this week.

Jonas Baer-Hoffmann, general secretary of Fifpro, is dissatisfied with how Mbappe is being treated in the French capital.
“He has every right to honour and play out the remainder of his contract and then take a decision on who he wants to play and work for,”
Baer-Hoffmann informed The Times.
“This is the essence of the Bosman ruling and the freedom won by players — establishing free agency at the end of the contract.
“Many players are often criticised by clubs and fans for wanting to leave their club during a contract, pushing for a transfer. Now a top player actually honours his commitment and he gets pressured for it,’ he added.
“To suggest that his actions would be unfair or disrespectful to the club is just wrong.
‘Both sides — PSG and Kylian Mbappé — agreed to this two-year extension. Both sides knew that they would find themselves in this position within months of signing the contract.
“Kylian Mbappé has said that he is committed to fulfil his contract, has played hard and very well since then,” he said.
Mbappe has declined to extend his contract with PSG, which is entering its final year.
Mbappe is justified in wanting to see out the remainder of his contract with PSG, but it appears the club is irritated that they will lose a massive transfer fee if they let his contract expire and he departs for free.
Mbappe’s outstanding hat-trick in the World Cup final against Argentina last year only increased his price tag, and PSG have excluded him from their preseason tour in an attempt to compel a sale.
Mbappe, whose contract expires at the conclusion of the upcoming season, is reportedly prepared to wait out the duration of the dispute.
