Salaries For Teachers & Civil Servants to be Paid next week
Beginning on Wednesday of the next week, all teachers hired by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) would start receiving their June pay.
This salary will be paid before the budget reading day on Thursday, June 15.
The committee claims that in each June month, teachers typically receive their pay ahead of the scheduled official budget reading dates.

The commission typically pays teachers’ wages in advance of the beginning of the following fiscal year.
It’s important to keep in mind that the fiscal year 2022–2023 will conclude after a new budget has been approved.
According to this report, teachers are currently waiting in line to receive their arrears-pay the following week.
Junior secondary school (JSS) teachers, who began receiving their pay without arrears, are among the teachers who anticipate being burdened.
The P1 teachers who were assigned to teach in the junior secondary school division this year are the other beneficiaries.

The commission will also compensate B5 teachers who were transferred to C1 who were not paid their arrears despite being moved to the following employment group.
TSC requested Sh74 billion under this new budget, which it claimed it would use to hire at least 111,870 teachers over the next five years in order to close the gap.
TSC CEO Dr. Nancy Macharia stated in a report presented to the Senate National Cohesion and Integration Committee, which is chaired by Marsabit MP Mohammed Chute, that there is a 111,870 teacher shortage at TSC.
Countrywide, there is a demand for 47,329 primary school teachers and 64,541 for post-primary institutions.
