PSG desires to transfer the World Cup champion during the summer.

Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain have begun discussing a sensational loan deal for Kylian Mbappe.

This week, the France international rejected a record-breaking offer from Al-Hilal, who were prepared to offer him a €700 million one-year contract.

Mbappe’s representatives reportedly refused to even meet with Al-Hilal officials in Paris, despite the fact that PSG had accepted a world-record offer of £259 million from the Saudi side.

The decision reportedly enraged PSG, who want to transfer the World Cup champion after he declined to extend his contract beyond next summer.

French champions are frantic to prevent Mbappe from leaving on a free transfer at the conclusion of the 2019-20 campaign.

The Mirror reports that Liverpool has now offered the forward a one-year loan contract.

Real Madrid has long intended to bring Mbappe to the Bernabeu, and the club was on the verge of signing him last summer before making an abrupt U-turn.

After a season under Jurgen Klopp at Anfield, a loan move to Merseyside could benefit all parties and allow Mbappe to conclude his dream move to Real Madrid on a free transfer.

This week, Mbappe turned down a transfer to Saudi Arabia.

Liverpool would be required to pay a hefty loan fee for the 24-year-old player.

Recent reports in Spain indicate that PSG has informed Real Madrid that they must pay approximately €250 million (£214 million) to sign Mbappe this summer, with Los Blancos attempting to negotiate a lower fee.

Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the president of Paris Saint-Germain, has already affirmed his intention to sell Mbappe this summer if he fails to sign a new contract with the forward who was left off the club’s preseason tour of Japan.

“My position is very clear,’ he stated.

“I don’t want to repeat it every time: if Kylian wants to stay, we want him to stay. But he needs to sign a new contract.

“We don’t want to lose the best player in the world for free, we can’t do that. This is a French club. He said he would never leave for free. If he changes his mind today, it’s not my fault. We don’t want to lose the best player in the world for free, that’s very clear.”

PSG believes other clubs, including Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham, Inter Milan, and Barcelona, are interested in recruiting Mbappe.
