How To Update TMIS Data And Phone Number On The TSC Online System.

TMIS Data Update – Phone Number. TMIS is an abbreviation for Teachers’ Management Information System.

TSC is mandated in recruiting teachers owing to the shortage witnessed in the the Kenyan schools.

Therefore, schools are mandated with updating the data of the new teachers into the system as teachers of that particular school.

Principals and Headteachers have the powers to publish and edit the teacher’s data in the system.

Before the headteacher or principal does the publishing and editing of a teacher’s data, he/she needs to be in possession the following details;

• Username
• Password

Before adding a teacher into the system, the principal must be in possession of the teacher’s data which includes;

• Basic school details
• Ordinary enrollment
• Teachers’Details
• Teacher on study leave
• Subject enrollment (CBE)
• Non full teaching load due to illness
• KCPE/KCSE performance

How To Update Data On TMIS

1. Into your browser, type http://www.teachersonline.go.ke
2. On the official tab, click and enter the username and password as give from the TSC ICT department
3. Once you are logged in, you can now update the teacher’s data.

How to update Teacher’s Phone Number On TMIS

1. While logged in the TMIS home, click on ‘TEACHERS’ tab indicated as 4. Teachers. A list of all teachers in the institution will be displayed.
2. At the rear right side of the window, click on edit icon under the ‘ACTION’ column.
3. The details of the teacher will be opened ready for editing.
4. You will enter the teacher’s verified phone number correctly and then save the changes by clicking on the the ‘SAVE’ icon under the ‘ACTION’ Column.
5. You can repeat this for all the teachers at the institution.

Using TMIS, you can update quite a number of parameters which include;

• Deployment Data
• Entry/exit Report for either newly employed teachers or teachers released from school or interdicted.

6. TMIS Returns which involves submitting basic school details, ordinary enrollment, Teacher’s Details, Teachers On Study Leave, Subject Enrollment (CBE) Non full teaching load maybe due to illness and KCPE/KCSE performance.
