According to a recent study, teaching is one of the most stressful jobs you can have in Kenya. It is one of the lowest paying jobs you will ever work in, in addition to being stressful.
Kenyan teachers under the Teachers Service Commission, TSC have consistently made news throughout the years by taking to the streets to demand a higher salary. That encapsulates how demanding and poorly compensated the job is.

Today, we’ve compiled a list of the ten most difficult counties for teachers in Kenya. Understaffing, insecurity, religious strife, drought, and slow collection of fees are commonplace in these areas.
For instance, it is no longer news when teachers are kidnapped by armed groups in Mandera. In Tana River, there are no classrooms, whereas in Garissa, one instructor oversees a class of 197 children.
