TSC Clears Air On Why Recruitment Portal is Not Working
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has provided an explanation as to why the online recruitment portal for application of Primary and JSS teachers’ openings in July 2023 is not functioning properly.
After conducting a cross-check, our team discovered that the TSC recruiting portal was experiencing tremendous traffic, which made it difficult for eligible applicants to submit their applications.
On Wednesday, July 5, the commission made the announcement that there will be 20,000 opportunities available for intern teachers. These positions will be split between Junior Secondary Schools (18,000) and Primary Schools (2,000).
Those who are assigned to work in elementary schools are eligible for a monthly stipend of Ksh15,000, while those who are assigned to work in junior secondary schools receive Ksh20,000.

The internship is geared at jobless registered teachers, who will be placed in educational institutions where they will receive mentoring, coaching, and exposure to real teaching experience to help them improve their teaching experience and become more effective educators.
