Females Candidates Outshine Males in Languages – 2022 KCPE. 

In three languages, including English, Kiswahili, and Sign language, female candidates outperformed their male counterparts on the KCPE in 2022.

Education Cabinet Secretary (CS) Ezekiel Machogu released the 2022 KCPE exam results on Wednesday, December 21.

The top performer scored 431 out of a possible 500 marks.

9 443 candidates scored between 400 and 500 marks; 300-399 marks (307,756), 200-299 marks (619,593), 100-199 marks (296,333), and 1-99 marks (724).

There were 2,417 candidates with special needs who took the KCPE in 2022.

In this category, seven individuals scored between 400 and 500 marks, 300-399 marks (296), 200-299 marks (838), 100-199 marks (1,270), and 1-99 marks (six).

1,233,852 candidates took the KCPE test in 2022.

Otieno Lewis Omondi from St. Peters, Mumias, scored 431 out of a possible 500 marks on the 2022 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE).

According to Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu, who announced the results on Wednesday, this represents a three-point improvement over the 2021 Exam.

The CS announced that 9, 4443 out of 1,2 million test-candidates scored 400 or more out of a possible 500 marks.

“We are very impressed with the KCPE examination class of 2022 for performing well and raising the standards of the main performance,” said Machogu.

To obtain KCPE results, candidates can text their complete index number followed by KCPE to 20076.

In contrast to past announcements, the CS did not reveal the identities of the top students or their schools.

Earlier today, when announcing the 2022 results at Mtihani House, Machogu did not announce the names of the best pupils, as he had in previous years. 

On Wednesday, December 21, Machogu stated only that the best student on the national exams received 431 out of 500 potential marks; he did not reveal the identity of the student.
