Grade 7 CBC Curriculum Released – CS Machogu.
According to Education CS Ezekiel Machogu, the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development has already published curriculum designs and instructional materials for Grade 7 students.
When schools reopen in January, more than 1.2 million students will be entering the grade 7 level.
Machogu stated during the release of the 2022 KCPE results that he will meet with sector stakeholders to discuss the adoption of guidelines.
“I expect to hold a meeting with all stakeholders on January 3 to 7 to consider and release guidelines to provide a roadmap to all players as they prepare for junior secondary school,” the CS said.
Following the president’s decision about the domiciling of grades 6, 7, and 8, he convened a multi-agency team to draft transitional guidelines.
The committee is also responsible for assuring uniformity in the execution of the junior secondary curriculum, including instruction, learning, and evaluation.
