In these recent days, it looks like we haven’t seen it all about our students and pupils in our schools as they seem to get into altercations with their teachers.
There seems to be another drama at Muricho Secondary School after a student beat up his teacher over food.
A 20-year-old form three student Samuel Migwi attacked his teacher Mr James Gikonyo during a launch time break. This happened while during the lunch break as students were making line waiting to be served, the student is said to have jumped queue.
This led the two to engage in a heated exchange of words and as the teacher left, the student followed him to the staffroom where he attacked the teacher with blows and fists.
Fellow teachers who witnessed the brutal scene came to their colleague’s rescue.
The schools principal Mr Principal Gitahi reported the scene to the police station. the officers led by the OCPD took a tour of the facility where the incident happened and the student was arrested. he is currently in police custody.
Mr Gikonyo was taken to the hospital and is currently recuperating.
