4 Most improved subjects in 2022 KCPE Exams.
Education Cabinet Sec. Ezekiel Machogu said four topics performed better on the KCPE examination in 2022 than in 2021.
English Language, Kiswahili Lugha, Kiswahili Insha, and Kenyan Sign Language improved on this year’s KCPE exam, according to the CS.
“We have been impressed that four papers recorded an improvement in performance in the year 2022 when compared to 2021,” he said.
Machogu spoke during the announcement of the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education results for 2022 on Wednesday.
Nonetheless, according to Machogu, performance in English Composition, Kenyan Sign Language Composition, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Religious Education decreased in 2022 compared to 2021.
Approximately 1,233,852 applicants took the KCPE at 284,088 locations across the country in 2022.
Machogu stated that the candidates will be permitted to begin their secondary education since they have all qualified for admission to Form 1.
According to the CS, the class of 2022 mounted a valiant academic battle despite the triple hurdle of a general election, Covid-19, and reduced school calendars.
50.32 percent of the candidates for the KCPE were male, while 49.67 percent were female.
The secretary of state stated that it is evidence that gender equality has been reached at the elementary school level.
The CS noted that freshly constructed schools originally intended for junior secondary schools are now accessible to alleviate the infrastructure strain in secondary schools.
According to him, this suggests that achieving a 100 percent shift to Form One next year will be a reasonably straightforward endeavor.
