21,550 Intern Teachers to be Posted in Junior Secondary Schools.

Over 20,000 interns will be assigned to Junior High Schools.

The Teachers Service Commission will deploy 21,550 teacher interns to assist with the supervision of Junior Secondary School (JSS) students, according to TSC CEO Nancy Macharia.

Macharia stated on Wednesday, in conjunction with the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results in the presentation for 2022, that it will facilitate learning in Junior Secondary Schools.

“30,550 new teachers will be recruited, 9,000 under the permanent and pensionable terms and 21, 550 teacher interns

In addition, she highlighted that 137,772 instructors were involved in administering the KCPE examination in 2022.

She stated that there were 28,408 centre managers, 28,727 supervisors, 74 990 invigilators, and 5,647 examiners.

David Njengere, the chief executive officer of KNEC, stated that KPSEA results will be revealed on January 16, 2019.

Njengere stated that the report on the inaugural KPSEA examination will consist of three separate reports.

Approximately 1,300,000 students took exams between November 28 and 30.

The pupils will graduate in January and enter Junior Secondary schools under the CBC program in seventh grade.
