Education CS, Ezekiel Machogu has indicated that he is in consultation with the Nyamira leaders to discuss where it will situate a university.
Machogu has further promised to ensure that the Ekerubo Technical Training Institute is upgraded to a National Polytechnic.
The Education mentioned these while he was attending the World Malaria Day together with the Health CS, Susan Nakhumincha at Ekerenyo Stadium.
“We are in consultation with the local leadership to see how we can address the lack of a university in Nyamira as this will be a milestone because a university will be a good investment in the country,” Said Machogu.

The CS further promised to improve the education standards in the country now that he is the Cabinet Secretary in charge of Education.
Machogu said the government is working to streamline the hurdles that are facing the sector.
He further urged all the education stakeholders in the country to ensure that there is success in the education of Kenyan children.
“We are working day and night to ensure that the education of our children is improved through providing necessary support to offer a bright future for our children,” stated Machogu.
Machogu further lauded the last year’s KCSE results and stated that it motivates him to work extra hard and invest in this ministry.
