TSC New Teacher Registration Guidelines
Under the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) Act, trained and qualified teachers are required to be registered before they can start practicing as teachers.

We will guide you through this new process with pictures so that you get to follow easily.
How to Register As a Teacher On TSC Portal
Step 1: Visit the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) website at http://www.tsc.go.ke
Step 2: Click on Online Services and choose Teachers Online Services as shown below.
Step 3: In the next page, on top of this page, choose New Teacher Registration for citizens or New Teacher Registration for Non-citizens for you are not from Kenya as shown below;
Step 4: You will be required to register by filling the form as shown below and then click next.
Step 5: In the next page you will now be required to upload all the required documents that are necessary for registration.
You will find a page similar to the one shown below;
Documents to be Uploaded Above
- Certified copies of academic and professional certificates.
- National identity card.
- Bank slip.
- One passport size photo.
- KRA pin.
- GP69 form.
- Certificate of good conduct.
- Entry and work permits for non-Kenyans.
When giving your details above, ensure that the permanent address you give must be accurate since that is where the certificate will be mailed to.
Step 6: After clicking on next, you will be taken to the next page where you will be required to now upload your professional certificates and transcripts as shown below.
The certificates needed here now include;
- Degree/Diploma/PTE certificate
- KCSE certificate
- KCPE certificate
Remember to click save document every time you upload a copy.
You will now click next to move to the final stage where you will now submit your application to TSC for verification and approval.
You should bear in mind that the above process is not for free. You must pay the registration fee.
After you have uploaded everything, you will need to upload a pay in slip of the money paid as registration fee of Ksh1,060 for those applying for the first time and Ksh2,060 for those applying for duplicate.

Harambee House Branch,
Account Name: TSC -Secretariat
Account Number: 01001005707400
For those using simple Banking (M-pesa) should pay using the pay bill business no. 625625, under account Number, use your ID Number starting with the word TSC. For example TSC12345678, where 12345678 is your ID number.
You will be required to screenshot the message and indicate the transaction ID then upload to the portal under payment field.
