TSC to Redistribute Primary Teachers With Upgraded Academic Credentials to Junior Secondary Schools

TSC to Redistribute Primary Teachers With Upgraded Academic Credentials to Junior Secondary Schools.

Primary teachers who have upgraded their academic credentials will be considered for service in Junior Secondary schools.

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) chairman Jamleck Muturi said they will be retrained to ensure they have the necessary skills to manage the students.

Muturi stated that this will ensure that schools have sufficient teachers.

“TSC will redistribute teachers who are in primary schools and have upgraded their studies in recent years. They have the necessary qualifications to teach in JS,” he said.

There are 30,550 Grade 7 classes in the country, according to TSC legal officer Cavin Anyuor’s statement to MPs.

Beginning in January, TSC has assigned one instructor per class.

“If the county has 1,000 classes we have allocated 1,000 teachers,” he said.

Anyuor stated that the number of teachers is determined by the treasury’s financial allotment.

The TSC chairman, Jamleck Muturi, stated that the commission will retrain teachers in primary schools.

This, according to Muturi, would ensure that all schools have an adequate number of teachers.

“TSC will redistribute teachers who are in primary school who have qualified to teach in junior secondary,” he said.
