KPLC Announces 2023 Students Internship Program ; How to Apply
A three-month internship scheme (from September to November 2023) has been established by the Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC), which is aimed at degree, diploma, and certificate students.
Kenya Power sought applications for its September intakes of degree, diploma, and certificate programmes in a notice published on its website.
According to the statement, Kenya Power is providing continuing students with an exciting opportunity to obtain practical work experience and enhance essential employability skills. This is in keeping with the government’s commitment to promoting youth empowerment.
Those aiming to earn a certificate ought to enrol in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (Power Option), Mechanical/Automotive Engineering, Building & Civil, and Plumbing courses.

Students that are interested in the internship must be available for the full three months. Additionally, they must provide documentation demonstrating that they are still enrolled in accredited institutions within the nation.
“Applicants should obtain a letter of introduction from the accredited educational institution. Applications are also welcomed from students seeking a Craft Certificate in mechanical/automotive engineering and electrical and electronic engineering, according to Kenya Power.
The placement of students will be determined by their academic credentials. Every application must be submitted online via the Kenya Power website.

- Enter www.kplc.co.ke into your computer browser to access the KPLC website.
- Locate the public information icon, click it, and then select “career opportunities” from the list of possibilities.
- Once you locate the internship advertisement, scroll down the page. To enter the registration portal, click the “click here to register” tab.
- To register, complete the registration form. You will receive a prompt at the email address you entered.
- To confirm your account and start the application process, open the email and click the link in the PDF.
- Check that pop-ups are permitted in your browser’s settings to avoid any problems while submitting an application.
Those who are interested should submit their application by Monday, July 24, 2023, at the latest, at the close of business.
