CbcKNEC Assessment Results Uploading
The Kenya National Examinations Council (Knec) has extended the deadline for schools to upload learners’ assessment scores on its online portal. Initially, schools were given until October 26th to complete this process, but due to issues with the platform and incomplete submissions, the deadline has been extended.
The assessment involved Grade 3, 4, 5, and 7 learners, who completed their national assessments through theory exams after completing their projects and practicals in the second term. Knec provided guidelines for assessing these learners and materials for schools to download and administer the assessments.
Grade 3 learners undertook the Integrated Learning Assessment (ILA), which integrated all learning areas in Grade 3. Grade 4 and 5 learners worked on projects and practicals in seven subjects, including Agriculture, Art and Craft, Music, Science and Technology, Social Studies, Home Science, and Physical and Health Education. Grade 7 learners were assessed in nine subjects, covering Performing Arts, Visual Arts, English, Home Science, Integrated Science, Health Education, Physical Education and Sports, Islamic Religious Education, and Hindu Religious Education.
Additionally, Grade 4 and 5 learners, along with Grade 3 and 7, took written exams this term, covering various subjects. Grade 6 learners were not assessed as they are preparing for their final assessment, the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA), which will be conducted simultaneously with KCPE from October 30th to November 1st.
