A Big Win For Asumbi Girls As Ruto’s CS Launches ICT Lab
On July 29, 2023, Hon. Eliud Owalo, Cabinet Secretary for ICT and Digital Economy, visited Asumbi High School in Homa Bay County for a working visit. A national secondary school for girls only, Asumbi High is situated in the former Nyanza province’s Homa Bay County.
The Asumbi Girls National High School is renowned for both its academic and extracurricular accomplishments. Since its founding in 1936, the school has maintained a strong academic track record.
The Franciscan Missionaries Sisters of St. Joseph founded it. It excels in racquet sports like badminton and lawn tennis. Mrs. Linet Pino Sati serves as the school’s principal.
Yesterday, CS Owalo opened a brand-new computer lab for the Asumbi girls. The Asumbi girls’ digital lab is entirely finished and equipped with all it needs. In the new lab, contemporary desktops and CPUs have been put together.
The newly created digital lab is a major victory for the Asumbi ladies fraternity because it will significantly enhance digital teaching methods at the institution. It will make it possible for instructors and students to work effectively together.
Additionally, CS Owalo opened computer labs at the Lwak and Ng’iya female schools in Siaya county.
