Women Shoplifters in Kirinyaga

A local supermarket, ‘One Drop Quick Shop’ in Kirinyaga county, Gichugu area has been on watch after a CCTV camera installed captured three women on a Saturday morning looting household and beauty products. One of the women had disguised herself in long-wear pretending to be carrying a baby on her back which was later discovered that she was carrying a doll the size of a small baby thus diverging attention towards them.


In the CCTV it is seen that the women are quite aware of the shop environs as they fixed themselves to a certain corner in the supermarket while making out turns looting as they covered each other’s backs. The items stolen were seen to be put inside their clothing where one was even seen going ahead to put them in her private parts.

The shop’s management discovered their items were missing after counting losses at the end of the business day which led them to revisit their CCTV footage thus discovering the unfolding of events at the time the women were in their shop. The shop attendant said they had not seen any red flags as the women were regular customers.


Locals in the area especially the women have seemed to be displeased by the actions of the three women saying they are setting out a bad picture for their fellow women. one of the locals has gone ahead to encourage women to be able to appreciate their own hustle and that looting is a short term thing which could end up with severe repercussions as theft does not pay. She went ahead to caution husbands to be aware of what their wives were doing and should watch out for the things their wives were bringing home.

crime has seemed to be rising in recent dates with news of stolen items further being reported as law enforcers are trying to tighten loose ends to combat it.
