WHAT THEY SAID: “This club means a great deal to me, so I would like to thank the manager, Edu, and the staff for extending my tenure here. Gooners, we’ve always had a special relationship, and now it’s time to strengthen it,” Saliba wrote in an Instagram post.
THE BIG PICTURE: Saliba joined Arsenal in the 2019-20 season after spending the two previous seasons on loan with Ligue 1 clubs. At the beginning of last season, he returned to the Emirates and immediately established himself as one of Mikel Arteta’s key players.
