Why KUCCPS Has Extended Inter University Transfer Window
The deadline for inter university and college transfers has been moved forward to Friday, August 18, 2023. Previously, it was August 15, 2023. This change was made by the Kenya Universities and colleges central placement Service (KUCCPS).
According to a notice that was distributed by the placement agency on Monday, August 14, the extension was required because KUCCPS M-Pesa Paybill option was experiencing some sort of technical difficulty.
“The M-Pesa payment option that we offer is giving us some trouble at the moment. We are hard at work to bring back our payment processing capabilities as soon as possible. Once the problem has been fixed, we will offer an update on the situation.” KUCCPS had previously mentioned this on social media.
Prospective applicants are strongly urged to use the KUCCPS student portal for application submission, which may be accessed at http://students.kuccps.net. This portal is available to prospective candidates who plan to submit their applications.
All applicants will be required to pay a processing fee of Sh 1,000 for each submission of their application.

The placement service stresses that the applicant must have been initially allocated to the programme that they are now requesting a transfer from in order to be eligible for a transfer. This is one of the requirements for eligibility for a transfer.
In addition, the year in which the applicant was first placed must have been one in which the programme to which they wish to transfer must have been active.
It is important to note that “one will only be able to apply to transfer to a course whose minimum requirements one meets,”
“Candidates for degree programmes are required to meet the applicable cut-off point for their particular placement year.” The admonition outlines in detail
In addition, during the course of the programme, an applicant is only allowed to make a transfer request to one of the available programmes, and this transfer can take place only once.
The applicant can navigate to the Programmes section to view a list of possible programmes along with their prerequisites, and they can investigate courses that are categorised by institution by navigating to the Institutions section.
