Virgil van Dijk gives silent comment after seeing what Georginio Wijnaldum performed for Roma this weekend
Liverpool stars Virgil van Dijk and Jordan Henderson have sent a message to former Reds player Gini Wijnaldum, who returned from injury on Saturday.
The Dutchman joined AS Roma on loan for the season last summer, after falling out of favor at Paris Saint-Germain.
The midfielder made his debut for the Italian club as a substitute in their Serie A season opener.
However, during training two days after this appearance, Wijnaldum injured his tibia. Consequently, he was sidelined for over six months.
Thus, it was fantastic to see the former Liverpool player back on the field on Sunday.
He substituted for seven minutes when Roma faced Lecce in the league.

Immediate after Roma’s match, Wijnaldum posted on Instagram that he was thrilled to be back playing football.
The 32-year-old posted a photo of himself on the field as well as his shirt in the locker room with the message “Baby, I’m back.”
Numerous celebrities flocked to the comments to express their admiration for the sportsman.
This includes players like Van Dijk and Henderson, who shared the Anfield field with the Dutchman.
Van Dijk was ecstatic for his pal, sending a heart-eyed emoji, while Henderson, his former Liverpool captain, thanked him with clapping hands and a love emoji.
It’s great to see Wijnaldum back on the field after suffering so many setbacks over the past several years, as he was a player the Reds should have never released
