United’s offer has been’rejected’ by the midfielder, who has refused to submit a transfer’request’
According to reports, Man United’s latest offer for Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat was’rejected’ by the Serie A club.
The Red Devils have already acquired Mason Mount from Chelsea and Andre Onana from Inter Milan, with Rasmus Hojlund’s £72 million transfer from Atalanta expected to be finalized this weekend.
There are rumors that Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag still wants to sign a midfielder and a central defender before the transfer window closes.
And Amrabat has emerged as their top target for the central midfield position, but the Red Devils will reportedly wait until Fred and Donny van de Beek depart the club before finalizing a deal.
Gazzetta dello Sport asserts that Manchester United’s ‘last offer’ for the Morocco international midfielder was’rejected,’ with Fiorentina now waiting for the Red Devils to’relaunch’ their pursuit of the player.
A deal for Amrabat’remains pending’ after Ten Hag identified the 26-year-old as his top target, and Fiorentina are now prepared for Manchester United to make a ‘decisive thrust’ in the near future.
Amrabat will only be approved if Van de Beek and Fred depart Old Trafford in the summer, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Romano tweeted, “Sofyan Amrabat has not been selected for the next Fiorentina match.
#MUFC As Fred and Donny Van de Beek are close to leaving the club, Manchester United is expected to open formal negotiations for Amrabat shortly.
Amrabat’s desire for Manchester United has never altered.”
German publication Abend Zeitung claims that Manchester United are ‘interested’ in Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka.
The Red Devils are reportedly ‘interested’ in the German international.
However, Goretzka has not made a “specific request” to be transferred this summer, and he is content to “remain” at the Allianz Arena, stating that he does not “want to speak with other clubs.”
The midfielder has “received no indication” that Thomas Tuchel is planning next season without him, and he is “optimistic that he will ultimately prevail against newcomer Konrad Laimer.”
Earlier today, German football expert Christian Falk provided an update on Goretzka’s situation at the club.
Falk wrote in his column Caught Offside:
“Sticking with Man United, the Premier League giants continue to pursue Leon Goretzka. However, Goretzka has made it clear that he wants to play at Bayern this season.
“Manager Thomas Tuchel does not rely on him heavily ahead of the new campaign, therefore, it is a transfer that could get hot again during the winter transfer window.
“Tuchel wants to buy a new number six ahead of the new season but the bosses at Bayern see no need. They think new signing Konrad Laimer can play the position.
“However, the club continues to monitor Aurelien Tchouameni’s situation at Real Madrid, in the hope that the player is open to a loan deal as a result of too much competition in the Madrid midfield.”
