Understand How to Replace Lost TSC Certificate; Costs Involved

“The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) offers the option of obtaining a replacement certificate in case your registration certificate is lost or damaged.

To apply for a duplicate certificate, teachers need to follow these steps:

1. Pay a non-refundable fee of Sh2055.

2. Keep your bank payment receipt.

3. Present your original National Identity Card (ID).

4. Provide an affidavit or marriage certificate if you’re changing your name.

Please note that TSC certificate applications are exclusively conducted online, so ensure you have clear scans of the necessary documents before starting the online application process.

Required scanned documents include your ID/Passport, bank slip, marriage certificate (for duplicate certificates), and police abstract (also for duplicate certificates).

The process for applying for a new TSC certificate or replacement online is as follows:

1. Visit the TSC online portal at https://teachersonline.tsc.go.ke.

2. Enter your ID number and surname accurately.

3. Complete your Basic Details as required.

4. Proceed to the next step, where you can change your name if needed.

5. On the next page, upload your scanned documents.

6. Once done, click ‘next’ to proceed to the final page.

Important notes for applicants:

– TSC only accepts online applications, not paper or written ones.

– Complete every section of the application form with accurate information.

– Providing false information is a serious offense and discouraged.

– Ensure you scan and attach only the required original documents.

– For new TSC registrations, a non-refundable fee of Kshs. 1055/- is required, payable to the TSC Registration Account at National Bank of Kenya.

– For Duplicate Certificate Applications, a non-refundable fee of Kshs. 2055/- should be deposited to the TSC Registration Account at National Bank of Kenya.”
