The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced that it will reward teachers who have performed exemplary in the released Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results.
Either the commission disputed claims that it was intending to punish the teacher who walks 20km to submit KCSE exams to her 18 candidates.
“.”We have no intention of punishing any teacher who goes beyond the call of duty to help our learners. You may have read in the papers about the teacher in Narok who walks long distances to the examination centers.
“Such You may have read in the papers about the case of one incredible teacher in Narok county, who walks long distances daily, we celebrate such teachers … TSC will reward all teacher who perform exemplary well.” Said Nancy Macharia.
TSC CEO Nancy Macharia said that 216,618 primary school teachers prepared the candidates across the country for KCPE under tough conditions in the wake of Covid-19.
