Con artists who target educators have been issued a stern warning by the Teacher Service Commission.
The Kenyan Teacher Service Commission (TSC) has issued a warning to all teachers and other stakeholders in the education system to be wary of con artists. The commission announced in a tweet that it does not levy any fees for the provision of services related to pensions, transfers, or marketing.
The TSC issued a warning to the general public, urging them to be vigilant and knowledgeable, stressing, “BEWARE DO NOT BE CONNED!” They continued by stating that any requests for money in exchange for these services are fraudulent and should be reported as soon as possible.

An online reporting option was made available by the commission so that instances of fraud or corruption may be reported with greater ease. They gave the public the assurance that any information that was submitted would be managed with the utmost discretion and confidentiality.
In spite of the fact that individuals are not required to provide their personal contact information, they are expected to provide a message subject as well as the particulars of the occurrence in the message body.
