TSC Reveals Payday for Teachers After Increment Agreement
Teachers can now expect their August salaries to be disbursed after the TSC, their employer, successfully negotiated a salary agreement with the unions representing them.
In a recent development, Knut, Kuppet, and Kusnet agreed to the salary offer presented by TSC. This offer entails a rise in Basic Salary of up to 9.5%, spread across two financial years beginning from July 1, 2023.
Consequently, teachers falling within job groups B5 to C2 will witness a salary increase of sh 2,148 after necessary deductions.
Another aspect of the deal encompasses an elevation in House Allowance for teachers grouped under Cluster 4, distributed over two financial years starting July 1, 2023.
As a result, there will be a harmonization of House allowances for Cluster 3 and 4, with the complete harmonization process slated for completion by July 2024.
