TSC has Re-advertised 757 PTMO and CSO Job Vacancies
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has re-advertised 757 open positions for Principal Teacher Management Officers (PTMO) and Curriculum Support Officers (CSO) in order to fill the positions that are currently available.
TSC CEO Nancy Macharia made the announcement in an advertising that was published on Tuesday, July 18, 2023. The advertisement stated that there are 92 open positions for PTMO.
The Commission has also re-advertised vacancies for the jobs of Curriculum Support Officer I (84 positions), Curriculum Support Officer II (regular) (286 positions), and Curriculum Support Officer II (CSO SNE) (295 positions).
The first advertisement was published on June 28th, and the deadline to submit an application has been set for July 5th, 2023.
In order to be considered for a position as a PTMO, an applicant must first have performed their duties as a Curriculum Support Officer to a satisfactory level for a period of at least three years.
In addition, the officer is required to have either a bachelor’s degree in education from a reputable university or both a bachelor’s degree and a postgraduate diploma in education.
Applicants are required to have a certificate proving that they are proficient in the use of computers.
Candidates will be expected to present original copies of a variety of papers, including their National Identity Card, academic and professional credentials, and the appointment and designation letter to their current grade, in the course of the interview process.
“Candidates who are successful during the interviews will be required to present valid documents that pertain to Chapter 6 of the Constitution before they can be considered for appointment.” As said by Macharia.

Candidates must have worked in the TSC scale 10 Curriculum Support Officer position for a minimum of three years in order to be considered for employment as a CSO.

In addition, they need to have earned a master’s degree in education or special education from a reputable university and finished a management course that was at least two weeks long. Both of these requirements need to be met before they can be hired.

It is strongly recommended that applicants visit the TSC website in order to obtain additional information regarding the re-advertisement.
The re-advertisement emphasises that interested individuals who meet the required requirements should submit their applications online through the TSC Website at https://teachersonline.tsc.go.ke. This may be seen at the bottom of the new advertisement.
The submission of applications must be completed before the deadline of August 1, 2023 at 5:00 PM.
