TSC gives teachers until 30th June To Comply with KRA
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) demands that all its employees file their income tax returns.
The commission has released a circular indicating that teachers have been given up to 30th June to comply with KRA by filing their individual Income Tax Returns in accordance with the income tac Act.
The commission has a mandate of ensuring all its employees have filed their returns. They can do so through the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) online iTax platform.
The commission has further directed its employed to download their P9 forms from the T-Pay Portal to facilitate the filing process.
Those teachers who may find difficulties in filing their returns can seek assistance from the TSC Accounts Division under the PAYE section using the contact given like (020) 289-2000 Ext:2401/2382 or 0722 208 552/0777 208 552.

Dr. Nancy Macharia has urged teachers to act swiftly and comply with the circular. They should ensure they file their Individual Income Tax Returns for the year 2022 before close of business 30th, June 2023.
The commission cautioned the teachers that if they fail to file their returns, this will attract penalities that will be imposed by KRA.
The circular was sent to all TSC employees and its secretariat.
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) stressed the importance of filing returns and encouraged its employees to seek for any assistance from the KRA filing centres in case of any difficulty.
