TSC Announces Promotion Of Over 36,000 Teachers
The promotions will be distributed among primary and secondary schools as well as teachers’ training colleges.
There will be 12,716 openings for promotions in the senior master position, and approximately 10,819 teachers will experience advancement to senior teacher roles in regular primary schools.
An additional 700 positions are designated for senior teachers in special needs schools, with 216 available positions for the Grade C4 senior lecturer role in teachers’ training colleges.
The commission has also posted 108 vacancies for senior principal roles and 34 positions for chief principal roles.

Interested individuals are required to submit their applications for these positions by September 8th using the TSC portal.
This announcement follows a week after the TSC promoted 14,000 teachers whose promotions had been pending since the previous fiscal year.
To facilitate the 36,275 promotions, the National Treasury has allocated Ksh.1 billion to the commission.
