The aircraft that crashed in Marsabit today morning was not carrying KCPE, KCSE Exams. Education CS Confirms.




The Education CS George Magoha has denied claims that the aircraft that crashed in Marsabit earlier today was carrying examination materials. Two people are feared dead after a plane crashed at Kofia Mbaya in Marsabit this morning.

Confirming the incident on its Facebook page, Armistice Security Consult International (ASCI) stated: “Situation Alert: Plane crash, flight No:5YJKN, location, Marsabit, Mlima Kofia Mbaya….. Two confirmed dead, the plane was ferrying KNEC Exams.”




The two who died were the pilot and the co-pilot of the plane.

The Cabinet Secretary said all examination materials for both the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) were safe.

He assured that the examination papers have not been exposed to anyone in any manner.




Prof Magoha urged all candidates and parents to remain calm, assuring them that all preparations were complete for the KCPE examinations that will start on Monday.
