Sudi Unveils How Ruto and Allies Stopped 3 Impeachment Attempts on Gachagua
Kapsaret Member of Parliament, Oscar Sudi, revealed that there were three distinct attempts to impeach former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
In a video shared on his social media on January 20, Sudi provided insights into these attempts, noting that they were all thwarted by President William Ruto and his allies.
Sudi mentioned that President Ruto stepped in to block the first two impeachment efforts directed at his then-deputy. He also highlighted that during the third attempt, current Deputy President Kithure Kindiki and Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wah joined forces to prevent it.
Sudi elaborated that each time an impeachment was suggested, Ruto took decisive action to ensure it was unsuccessful, even dismissing the first and second attempts. When the third attempt arose, Sudi, along with Kindiki and Ichung’wah, played a crucial role in stopping it.
In his speech, Sudi criticized Gachagua for suggesting that President Ruto would dictate his words at public events. He argued that such remarks were intended to provoke emotions and create rifts among the Kenyan people.
Sudi suggested that Gachagua’s recent comments were meant to incite conflict and were based on personal grievances. He stated that Gachagua’s demands for the Deputy President position were unreasonable and unattainable. He also cautioned that the falsehoods surrounding the situation would eventually be revealed.
Sudi expressed skepticism regarding Gachagua’s assertions that President Ruto had been guiding him on what to say. He questioned whether Gachagua genuinely thought that Kenyans would be naive enough to believe such claims.
Sudi, who had previously been one of Gachagua’s staunchest supporters, mentioned that he had cautioned Gachagua about his lack of experience and impulsive ambitions, which he felt were contributing to the current problems.
