School Closed Indefinitely After Form One Student Collapsed And Died.

Arnesen’s High School has been closed indefinitely after a Form One student collapsed and died. Parents and locals suspect that the student succumbed to Covid-19.

Tension built in the Uasin Gishu County located school as students threatened to go on strike leading to the school closure by the management.

Uasin Gishu County Commissioner Stephen Kihara however declined to ascertain if the student's death was due to the virus or not.

“I am aware of the matter but I cannot confirm whether it was COVID-19 or not. We leave that to the professionals,” said Kihara as quoted by Nation.

It is reported that the student had gone to the learning institution's sanatorium only to be found in the school's hall nose bleeding and foam oozing from his mouth.

The learner was rushed to the hospital, where he died after doctors unsuccessfully tried to restore his condition.

This comes even as Othaya Boys High School in Nyeri county is grieving the sudden death of its student Katali Mutinda Kimathi who collapsed on his way back to school from holiday on the Tuesday of July 27.

School Principal Waititu EM confirmed the incident saying that the deceased was a Form Four student.
