Global Foundation Alliance, a religious Organization in Kitengela, Kajiado county is on the spot of an alleged scheme to swindle more than 4000 parents in the region.
The faith-based organization is alleged to have collected details of children alongside money from desperate parents promising them an avenue out of economic hardship by paying school fees for their children and facilitate their enrollment into a scholarship program.
Months into the pledge parents say they have been left in limbo as their calls go unanswered.
Forms filled by parents reveal that the foundation had promised to offer full primary and secondary sponsorship to needy primary school students who registered by paying 300 shillings and 500.
Parents now say they may have been conned with some of them reporting the matter at the Kitengela police station.
Global Foundation Alliance through the director bishop Joseph Otieno has denied the allegations saying the organization is actively looking for a donor to fund the program.
The Bishop had a difficult moment to explain how many students he has registered so far, how much he collected and the intended purpose of the money collected from poor parents.
The police commander at Isinya Sub-County Charles Chepkonga has advised parents to lodge a formal complaint in their nearest police station for further investigations
