PSC Extends Deadline for Application of Internship Vacancies
For recently posted internship openings across government ministries, the Public Service Commission (PSC) has extended the application deadline.
The PSC extended the application deadline for the advertised positions from August 17 to August 23, 2023, in a notice published on Thursday, August 17.
According to the notice, which runs from August 17 to August 23, “The Public service commission is happy to announce extension of application time of recruitment of 8,000 intern (cohort 6) under PSIP for the Financial Year 2023/2024 for seven days.
For the Financial Year 2023–2024, the commission stated on Tuesday, July 25, that it will be hiring 8000 interns for government ministries, departments, and organisations.

The internships are expected to last 12 months and are not extendable.
The winning candidate must be computer literate and hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from an accredited university that was earned no earlier than 2017.
According to the commission, interns will carry out tasks that have been delegated by the supervisors and are mutually agreed upon during the internship.
They will also actively participate in additional tasks created for the programme and document pertinent abilities.
During their internship, the interns will also receive a stipend, the rate of which will be decided by the government.
They will receive certificates after successfully completing the internship programme, according to PSC.

The PSC job application portal is where interested individuals should go to submit their applications.
The Commission further declared that it would evaluate each application based on its qualifications and that the selection procedure would be impartial.
“Interested and qualified graduates are requested to make their applications through the Commission’s job portal accessible through www.publicservice.go.ke or www.psckjobs.go.ke,” stated the announcement part.
