Primary School Teacher Commits Suicide In Meru
On Thursday, a primary school teacher from Kanathu village in Igembe North, Meru County, was discovered dead at a Miraa farm in Nkada.
The deceased is said to have committed suicide by hanging herself for reasons that had not been determined at the time of publication.

Adriano Kobia, her husband, was taken aback as to why his wife committed the heinous act, citing that the two had lived in complete harmony for the longest time.
According to Igembe North Police Commander Emmanuel Okanda, an investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of her death.
The body of the deceased has since been moved to the Nyambene Sub County Hospital Morgue, where a post-mortem examination will be performed to determine the cause of death.
Cases of teachers committing suicide have been on the rise in Kenya. In September Endebess Estate primary school teacher committed suicide by hanging himself inside his house in Masaba village, Kiminini constituency, Trans Nzoia County.
The 48-year-old Joseph Chemwami, did not leave a suicide note, according to Kiminini location Chief Samson Webi.
And in July two teachers committed suicide in separate incidents in Makueni County. A 34-year-old secondary school teacher from Kathamboni Primary School committed suicide and his body was discovered dangling from a tree a few metres from the school compound at around 7.40 p.m, according to County Police Commander (CPC) Joseph Ole Naipeyan.
According to Ole Naipeyan, the Mathematics and Business Studies teacher called his brother prior to the suicide and informed him of his plans to commit suicide.
In the second incident, the body of 47-year-old Paul Mumina, a teacher at Muusani primary school in Kasikeu, was discovered dangling from a mango tree in Enguli village, Nzaui Sub County, in what was suspected to be a suicide.
