Nottingham Forest are inching closer to signing Dean Henderson as they are considering a loan with an option to buy to entice Manchester United.

According to Sky Sports via Football Daily, Nottingham Forest are eager to finalize Dean Henderson’s transfer.

Steve Cooper’s squad is prepared to make a loan offer with a purchase option in an effort to convince Manchester United to sell the 26-year-old star.

The Nottingham Forest goalkeeper search has intensified over the past day.

Evidently, Steve Cooper now desires two goalkeepers rather than one.

Long ago, Dean Henderson was believed to be their only significant summer target, but this may no longer be the case.

There were rumors that Wolves star Jose Sa would replace Keylor Navas, but he no longer appears to be a viable option.

Matt Turner has become a target in the last twenty-four hours due to developments at Arsenal.

The Gunners are now linked to Brentford goalkeeper David Raya, and Mikel Arteta appears sincere about signing him.

As a result of Turner’s transferability, Forest may have conducted discussions with the Gunners.

According to the report, Forest and Arsenal have vastly different valuations for the player, but there is a sense that they will reach an agreement in the coming days.

Meanwhile, Henderson’s prospects of joining Forest permanently were questioned.

As of now, Forest has not changed their posture and are still interested in signing the 26-year-old Manchester United star during this transfer window.

Cooper appears to want two elite goalkeepers as opposed to just one, specifically Arsenal and Manchester United stalwarts.

Nottingham Forest has proposed a loan deal for Henderson, while they may continue negotiations for Turner.

The proposal will include a buy-obligation provision, which the Red Devils may view favorably.

Forest have been close to signing Henderson for some time, but there has been some delay in recent weeks. The loan-to-purchase proposal appears favorable for all parties.

The 26-year-old goalkeeper will command a significant transfer fee from Manchester United.

Next season, Cooper will have a formidable group of keepers to choose from with Henderson and Turner.

Both of these talents are vying for regular playing time, which would result in intense competition during training.
