This morning, a police vehicle overturned in Elgeyo-Marakwet County while transporting the KCSE chemistry paper exam. According to a Facebook post, the vehicle was en route to Cheewew Secondary School in Elgeyo-Marakwet County and had the accident in the Kapkuto area. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported.

The KCSE exams commenced today across the country, with more than 900,000 Form Four candidates taking the examination. Notably, the Teacher Service Commission (TSC) has issued a new directive stating that only secondary school teachers will supervise and invigilate the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education examination, a departure from previous years. TSC boss Nancy Macharia revealed that a total of 101,376 secondary school teachers have been recruited to oversee the examination at all examination centers nationwide.
