Molo Academy Closed Indefinitely Following Student Rampage As Form Two Student In Bungoma Commits Suicide In Boyfriend's House
Molo Academy in Nakuru County has been closed indefinitely following a rampage by over 1,200 students on Sunday night. The police tried to contain the situation but the learners remained unruly, forcing the closure of the school.
The police were forced to shoot in the air to scare the students and contain the situation however no arrests were made and the efforts to contain the rowdy learners did not yield any fruits according to the school administration.

The students went on a rampage complaining of being fed the same food for several days and of dirty water in the institution. According to Molo Acting Deputy County Commissioner Steve Odotteh, the students want a stop of morning remedial on weekends.
After a consultative meeting between the school's management, local security agencies, and education officials in Molo Sub-County, the decision was arrived at.
"They broke into classrooms and offices damaged furniture and smashed windows before police from Njoro Police Station intervened," he said.
The students also attacked a male teacher during the fracas.
Form Two Student In Bungoma Commits Suicide In Boyfriend's House
Elsewhere, a Form Two student in Bungoma has allegedly died by suicide at her boyfriend's house. It is reported that after her parents reprimanded her for failing to return to school, the form two lady resorted to visiting her boyfriend in Kabula Market.
Some locals threw the blame on the guy dating the student, saying their two months relationship had made the girl refuse to go back to school.
The body of the deceased was taken to Bungoma County Hospital Mortuary
