Mauricio Pochettino Provides Latest on Trevoh Chalobah’s Injury following Chelsea’s Victory against Fulham

Trevoh Chalobah was injured during Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Fulham in the final encounter of the Premier League Summer Series.

Chelsea’s victory in the inaugural Premier League Summer Series in the United States was highlighted by Trevoh Chalobah’s injury mere minutes after entering the field against Fulham.

Thiago Silva, who will turn 39 in September, scored the opening goal with a powerful header after Ben Chilwell’s superb cross.

The goal was another illustration of the defender’s continued strength and accuracy despite his advanced age.

New agreement Christopher Nkunku then demonstrated his predatory instinct by being in the right place at the right moment to score the game’s second goal, effectively putting the game beyond the reach of a Fulham team that was chasing shadows.

Reece James, Levi Colweill, Nicolas Jackson, and Trevoh were substituted into the game by Mauricio Pochettino as a result of the tempo and strength of the second half.

Chalobah would then be replaced by Alfie Gilchrist in a frustrating move for the Wrexham game-injuring defender.

Pochettino told the media that he hoped the injury was not serious.

“I hope it’s not a big issue. It’s a precaution. We need to assess him next few days.”

Chelsea have won three of their four preseason contests, with Pochettino managing minutes and preparing players for the upcoming season.

The average age of the team has also decreased to 22, with players between the ages of 26 and 28 considered to be senior players and candidates for team captaincy.

The proprietors want to restructure the team and try again under Pochettino after a disappointing 12th-place finish last season.

After losing N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic, and Mason Mount, the Blues continue to be interested in Brighton and Hove midfielder Moises Caicedo as they seek to bolster their squad.
