Later this month, Manchester United will determine whether to retain Jonny Evans for the upcoming season, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on Twitter.
The Red Devils have not yet determined the future of the Northern Ireland international at the club.
According to The Sun, the defender may receive a one-year contract.
Despite recent negotiations, the Old Trafford club is anticipated to reach a conclusion in the coming weeks.
United is currently pleased with the center-back and has been pleased with his recent performances.
Therefore, the Red Devils have not ruled out a move for the 35-year-old during the current transfer window.

Evans advanced through the Old Trafford club’s development system. Subsequently, the Northern Irishman won multiple Premier League titles and the Champions League trophy while playing for Sir Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United.
The defender joined West Bromwich Albion in the summer of 2015 after never being able to establish himself as a regular starter for Manchester United.
Three years later, Leicester City approached him for his services.
At the King Power Stadium, the center-back turned in some outstanding performances and formed a formidable partnership with Caglar Soyuncu.

Nevertheless, the Foxes were relegated during the previous season.
Due to ailments, Evans was unable to play a significant role. The defender’s contract with the club based in the East Midlands expired at the end of June.
So far, the Northern Irishman has participated in the Red Devils’ exhibitions against Olympique Lyon, Wrexham, and Borussia Dortmund. He has displayed some admirable qualities.
Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane will likely be our first-choice partnership for the upcoming season.
Currently, we also have Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire.
Evans’ addition to our ranks would presumably not be detrimental, as he would contribute depth and experience.
