Leon Goretzka has been placed on the market for sale by Bayern Munich.
Leon Goretzka claims he has “no intention” of leaving Bayern Munich for Manchester United this summer.
Goretzka has been linked to Old Trafford on numerous occasions over the years and was again a target for United last summer, but the midfielder informed Erik ten Hag that he wanted to remain in Munich.
Ten Hag has already bolstered his midfield this summer by acquiring Mason Mount from Chelsea, but he would like to add another player to that position.
And it was reported just last week that Bayern was willing to sell Goreztka for a bargain £34 million in order to generate funds for top target Harry Kane.
Since joining Bayern in 2018 from Schalke, the 28-year-old has recorded 34 goals and 35 assists in 179 games, helping the club achieve five Bundesliga titles and the Champions League.
The German international is a top talent, but he is not in Thomas Tuchel’s plans because he wants to pair Joshua Kimmich with new signing Konrad Laimer in his midfield.
However, Goretzka has signaled once more that he only wishes to play for Bayern, telling Sky Germany, “I have no plans to leave Bayern.”

Goretzka had also become a transfer target for Liverpool as Jurgen Klopp continued his midfield overhaul.
The Reds have signed Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai thus far, but the latter suffered an ankle injury recently, and the club is also likely to lose Fabinho and Jordan Henderson.
Both players have agreed to transfer to the Saudi Pro League, while Thiago Alcantara is being pursued by three La Liga clubs.
