Last season in the Bundesliga, Kolo Muani cemented his status as a first-rate forward by scoring 15 goals and registering 11 assists up front.
As a result, he is one of the most-talked-about players in this transfer window, so the news of his departure from Frankfurt will alarm a number of clubs.
Manchester United will almost certainly be among those clubs, with Erik ten Hag’s side rumored to have contemplated signing Kolo Muani before settling on Hojlund.
But Ten Hag would be ecstatic to have both, as he seeks to improve upon last season’s disappointing return of 58 points, which was by far the worst of the top six.
Given the price of strikers on the current market, United would need to move a substantial amount of deadwood in order to complete a transaction.
