Manchester City is closing in on a 16-year-old defensive prodigy from Manchester United
Manchester City is on the verge of signing Harrison Parker, a defensive prodigy for Manchester United, after defeating at least four other clubs.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City and Manchester United are nearing a deal for adolescent sensation Harrison Parker. The 16-year-old defensive prodigy turned down a lucrative offer from the Red Devils and is now close to signing with their archrivals.
In many ways, Manchester City has been one of the most successful clubs in England over the past decade. Not only have they earned the moniker in senior football, with last season’s treble serving as a significant indicator of their development, but they are also excelling with their junior setup.
Phil Foden, Romeo Lavia, and others have emerged from their ranks, and England U21s Cole Palmer and James Trafford continue to demonstrate their exceptional development. Therefore, Manchester City have become appealing to youthful players, particularly from rival clubs.
Jack and Tyler Fletcher are on the verge of leaving Manchester City for Manchester United. Both are sons of former Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher. However, in what has been described as an act of retaliation, the Cityzens are close to signing Harrison Parker, one of their best players.

Before joining Manchester United in 2021, the 16-year-old defensive prodigy rose through the tiers of Arsenal’s youth organization. He has excelled at their academy and has even played for their U18 team. The Red Devils desired to retain him for the foreseeable future, but he has decided to leave the club.
According to reports, Manchester United offered him the highest possible salary for a youth athlete. Nonetheless, Parker has rejected the offer and now appears determined to join archrivals Manchester City. The Cityzens will presumably pay a substantial compensation fee, as the two teams are close to reaching an agreement.
Fabrizio Romano insisted that Manchester City had to defeat at least four other clubs to acquire the player. It’s excellent news for the Premier League giants, who failed to sign the highly regarded Ethan Nwaneri recently. The youthful player re-signed with Arsenal, which was a devastating loss for Man City.
With the prospective signing of Parker, they will have one of the nation’s most gifted athletes. Manchester United will likely regret their efforts to persuade the defender, particularly if he goes on to excel in the future, as it is an even sweeter deal to acquire him from their archrivals.
