Man Utd’s Ambitious Move to Secure Fiorentina Midfielder Sofyan Amrabat Before the Weekend
According to Rai correspondent Sara Meini, Manchester United will attempt to secure the transfer of Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat by the weekend.
The Red Devils have only signed one player this summer, Mason Mount, but they are expected to announce the acquisition of Andre Onana from Inter Milan shortly.
It is now rumored that Manchester United could target Amrabat, who is expected to depart Fiorentina.
The midfielder’s future is reportedly ‘decisive’ over the next few days, and the Red Devils will attempt to reach a deal with him by the weekend.
Amrabat would be a fantastic addition for Manchester United.
Amrabat was outstanding for club and country in the most recent season, and he has now decided to depart La Viola to advance his career.
Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, and United have been linked to him, but due to the financial difficulties of Atletico Madrid and Barcelona, the Red Devils appear to be in the best position to sign him.
United would still need to meet Fiorentina’s €30 million asking price, and we should learn in the coming days which club intends to make a formal offer for him.
Amrabat would be a fantastic addition for United as he could provide Casemiro with much-needed competition and protection at the number six position.
Scott McTominay has lacked consistency in his role, and if Amrabat were to transfer to Old Trafford this summer, he could be shown the door.
The 26-year-old is not a tenacious defender like Casemiro, but he has the ability to direct play from midfield with his accurate passing and focus.
Amrabat has a tremendous work ethic and enjoys committing tactical infractions. He has previously played for Utrecht under manager Erik ten Hag. Personal conditions should not be a problem.
