KUCCPS TTC Intake Application For DPTE, DECTE Deadline
Candidates who are interested in enrolling in Teacher Training Colleges (TTCs) and studying for a Diploma in Primary Teacher Education (DPTE) or a Diploma in Early Childhood Teacher Education (DECTE) can now submit their applications through the KUCCPS portal.
The Kenya University and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has established the online application site for applicants who participated in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations between the years 2020 and 2022.
The minimum score required to enter DPTE as well as DECTE has been raised. The only requirement for application is a mean grade of C (plain), and the application fee of 1,500 Kenyan shillings must be submitted to KUCCPS via Mpesa.
The last day to submit an application through the KUCCPS portal is July 28th, 2023. Please use this link to access the KUCCPS application.

Initially, potential applicants were required to have achieved a minimum grade of C (plain) in each subject cluster; however, that requirement has since been eliminated.
The requirement that candidates take five different subjects will no longer be taken into consideration when placing them into TTC. As long as an individual obtains a mean grade of C or higher, they are considered qualified to enrol in a teaching programme.
