KCSE Candidates Eligible For KUCCPS Degrees. TheKenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) announced yesterday March 22nd 2023 that only the 2022 KCSE Candidates will be eligible to apply for the degree courses once the portal opens.
The placement body mentioned that the portal will be open for all Kenyans once opened.
Students who sat for KCSE in Previous years will only be eligible to apply for courses in Technical and Vocational Colleges (TVET).
KUCCPS Update On Application For University Courses
KUCCPS has has explained that the candidates will only be allowed to apply for their intended lot.
The placement service has mentioned that those candidates who sat for KCSE in preceding year will be eligible for the online application.
The placement body, KUCCPS has mentioned that it is yet to open the portal soon for the application process.
The placement body has indicated that it will communicate the dates for application on its website, KUCCPS social media handles and other mainstream media.

Since KCSE results were released early this year, the candidates are yet to apply for their preferred courses.
The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Agnes Wahome indicated that the process takes quite sometime before the process takes effect depending on the data submitted by various universities.
“Before we open there is a process that we must go through including getting all the results from the KNEC, then we have to receive all the programmes offered in universities, and later verify whether they are accredited,” she stated.
Candidates are encouraged to check the previous courses and their cluster points in the previous year to ensure that they have a clue of what it takes in various courses before the actual application process.
KCSE Candidates Eligible For KUCCPS Degrees
The candidates who managed to score a C plus and above are eligible to apply for the degree courses in various universities of their choice.
Those who managed mean grades lower than C plus, are encouraged to apply for certificate and diploma courses in various colleges and universities across the country.
