The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has invited 95,757 Kenyans who took the KCSE between 2000 and 2021 and qualified for placement but did not enroll to apply for courses.

Applicants for diploma, certificate, and artisan courses are the target audience.

“Did you sit the KCSE exam between 2000 and 2021 and haven’t been placed by KUCCPS to undertake a TVET course? Our portal is now open for applications. Apply for a chance to pursue your career of choice under government sponsorship,” the agency said in a statement posted on its Facebook page on Friday, February 11.

Dr Agnes Mercy Wahome, chief executive officer of KUCCPS, told The Standard that the school is looking for 95,757 applicants.

“We will, later, give a breakdown on the distribution of course vacancies available across all categories,” she said.

Applicants should go to students.kuccps.net to submit their applications by February 20, 2022.

Dr. Wahome stated that the government will sponsor all students who are successfully placed in their educational pursuits.

“Successful applicants report to the TVET colleges as from May 2022,” she said, adding: “Even practising professionals who wish to upgrade their skills by taking technical courses can apply if they did not benefit earlier.”

The agency, however, did not specify whether the offer will be extended to applicants pursuing degree programs.
