Kuccps extends deadline for inter-institutional transfers
The inter-institutional transfer application deadline has been extended by the Kenya Universities and College Placement Service, KUCCPS.
To make up for a momentary outage on its Mpesa paybill payment option, which has already been restored, the placement service extended the deadline from today (Tuesday) in a message.
“We are having problems with our M-Pesa payment method. Soon, we hope to get our payment services back. After the problem was fixed, we’ll provide you an update, KUCCPS announced on Sunday, August 13.
Students now have till Friday to change their programmes and institutions if they so choose.
It has been suggested that those who intend to apply for the transfers do so through the KUCCPS student portal at http://students.kuccps.net.
A Ksh 1,000 application processing fee per applicant will be charged.

The applicant must have been assigned to the programme from which they are seeking a transfer in order to be eligible for one.
In addition, the applicant’s placement year had to coincide with the availability of the programme they had applied for.
Transfer Method
An applicant must meet the necessary cut-off points and be eligible for the programmes to which they are transferring in order for their transfer application to be approved. A transfer application must also receive the approval of both the receiving and the releasing institutions, who can now accomplish this online. Students won’t need to go to the institutions in person as a result.
Through the portal, applicants can keep track of the status of their applications, and after they have been accepted, transfer letters will be made available for download.
