KRA Announces 2023 Paid Internships; How to Apply
On Tuesday, July 18, the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) announced a three-month paid internship programme that will run from September to November 2023.
KRA announced chances for young people in an advertisement published on its internet platform, in keeping with the government’s objective to create a pool of youthful talent for the Kenyan labour market.
The hiring process is geared towards recent graduates, and those who are interested should submit their applications by Sunday, August 6, 2023, at the latest.
The interns will be assigned to various Support Services departments of the Authority in a variety of fields, including but not limited to Supply Chain Management, Human Resource Management, Marketing & Communication, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, and Mathematics.
Requirements
- be a Kenyan citizen between the ages of 20 and 35.
- Be a continuing undergraduate first-degree student in their third, fourth, and final year of study, as well as a diploma student in their final year from a reputable university.
- should possess a legitimate letter of introduction from the university.
- For the complete three months of the programme, you must be available.
- KRA will provide a stipend of Ksh 7,000 per month, subject to legal deductions.
- Candidates will need to provide proof of a current Personal Accident Insurance Cover, copies of their KRA PIN certificate, NHIF, NSSF, ID card, and bank account information if they are chosen.
KRA 2023 Internships Application Guidelines
Registration:
Visit the website https://erecruitment.kra.go.ke/login and click on the ‘Register’ button to begin the application process.
Once registered, you will receive an email containing a confirmation link to verify your email address and complete your registration.
Log In:
- After registration, go to https://erecruitment.kra.go.ke/login.
- Enter your username and password, then click on ‘Log in’ to access your account.
- Upon successful login, you will be directed to the ‘Applicant Cockpit’ page.
- On the ‘Applicant Cockpit’ page, navigate to the ‘Candidate Profile’ tab.
- Click on ‘My Profile’ to create or update your profile.
- Follow the provided instructions to complete your profile.
- Once finished, click on the “Overview and Release” tab to proceed.
- Ensure you check the checkbox on the page to confirm the completion of your profile.
Application Process:
To view available job postings, click on the ‘Employment Opportunities’ tab on the ‘Applicant Cockpit’ page.
Under the ‘Job Search’ section, click the ‘Start’ button to browse through all available vacancies.
Select a job posting to view its details.
Click the ‘Apply’ button at the top of the page to submit your application for the position.
Follow the instructions provided to complete and submit your application.
Ensure all mandatory fields are filled out.
To finalize the application process, review and accept the ‘Data Privacy Statement,’ then click the ‘Send Application Now’ button.
